Welcome to share Jtent memories n the J-talk and J-foto sites. J-talk is a site for people in Japan, and it is mainly a blog site, while J-foto is an image site.
I am Marianne Krause, and I made this account. I am not the administrator, since everyone is. That means EVERYBODY IS RESPONSIBLE! You all have the power to delete the entire site, eaachother’s pictures etc., which I hope you will not do. If you find offensive pictures, or pics you wish to be removed, please ask nicely in the forums.
I will reserve the right to remove offensive material or comment on bad behaviour, but I am not assuming any responsibility for the site. I will not be monitoring this site any more than any of you, so please, do not chance the password or theme etc. There is nothing I can do to help if you use administrator rights to change things. I have no more rights on this site than anybody else.
The site is for sharing memories and pictures of the Japan Tent 2006 participants and hopefully organizers. Please be sensitive to eachother’s points of view and respect eachothers religions, customs, traditions etc. Please, be as neutral as you can.
To upload photos to the BLOG:
Note, this is to the blog only, not the picture site. (If you want to uload to the J-foto image site htt://j-foto.com/jtent06 you need to log in to that site. The username and password are the same for both sites.) Click the Site admin link on the main page (upper right corner) and after that, click Photo upload. There is only kanji for the ’Browse…’ button, but it is the button next to the ‘File:’ field below. Browse for the photos on your hard drive, and click ‘Upload.’
The J-foto site seems to have Japanese only, but this will be changing. The J-talk site has gone a major update in the past month, so please be patient with the possible bugs and lacks. Gary (http://gary.j-talk.com), who is the webmaster of all J-talk, is doing this job alone, and with no compensation for his work.
It is possible to feed the entires, that is, to sign up for a kind of note when new images or text has appeared on the site. You will need a program to do this, but for example Firefox browser (the link is at the bottom of every page: happy browsing) will do the job.
Right now (Friday night and at my host family’s friend) I don’t have time to explain everything, but if someone wants to contribute, please do, and if somebody wants to translate into Japanese (or into Englis at the J-foto.com site) please, fell free!
Welcome to J-Talk.
